You may be asking yourself: "I like
what I've seen, now what?" There are many ways to proceed. We offer the following
tips so the route you choose will be an enjoyable experience. These general guidelines
should be tailored to best serve your needs.
- For a free firm quote, send us your completed
blueprints, the specifications for the work requested, and a list of services you wish to
have us provide.
- Have us develop your sketches into a finished
blueprint. Custom blueprints cost about $.65/square foot. Most plans can be completed for
$800-$1,200.
- Call us for more information or to answer
your questions. You will find us very knowledgeable about construction methods and costs.
- E-mail
us with further questions.
- Many customers ask for an estimate based on a
sketch they've toyed with. Providing an estimate from a sketch is a very inaccurate method
and often leads to frustration for the customer when accurate information is analyzed.
Without completed blueprints, we cannot give you a firm quote or bid that can be compared
to other bids. We do, however, charge a flat fee of $50 to develop the quote for plans in
the sketch form. The cost is applicable to the cost of the blueprints or the log
structure. As an option, we can provide you with accurate and free costs from comparable
projects, which will give you an idea of what your building will cost.

our crew. Check out our work and building methods. While here, check out our local
reputation. Ask the lumber yards about us. Check us out and see if you receive good
recommendations. At the same time, we will also be glad to provide you with references
from past customers. I am sure you will find us well recommended.

log buildings we have built for numerous local resorts. We'd be happy to provide you a

We will meet with you at no charge in Grand Marais to discuss your project and give you an
idea of what the logs and the completed structure will cost. In addition, we can be
retained to visit your building site and help you plan for your construction, meet with
your general contractor, and work with the various subcontractors involved in the project.
