well over 100 handcrafted log homes, summer cabins, public buildings,
rental cabins, saunas, and log accenting projects.
Our clients include private parties building a simple cabin or second home on a lake, primary residence on a rural site near a city, a refined and highly detailed designer log home or retreat, resort rental cabins, real estate office, art gallery, environmental education building, and much more. Examples of our log construction can be found on the North Shore of Lake Superior at the Johnson Heritage Post and the Prudential/Cobblestone Realty office in Grand Marais. Resort rental cabins have been provided for Bearskin Lodge, Cascade Lodge, Heston's Resort and Lutsen Resort. We recently completed the Sugarloaf Interpretive Center along the North Shore between Silver Bay and Schroeder, MN at 9096 Hwy. 61. Private residences can be found throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Upper Midwest, along with some work in western Ontario and the eastern United States. We also offer log architectural components. Log architectural components include log stairs, log rails, roof logs, log trusses, and columns. Log architectural components are used to accent conventional construction. We have fabricated work starting with a few simple roof logs or beams, to complicated hip roof framing using logs and columns. Numerous examples of our architectural detailing work can be found in public buildings on the North Shore, including the Dairy Queen in Grand Marais, the Grand Portage Tribal Community Center in Grand Portage, the Lutsen Resort East Flank, and the Poplar River Condominiums adjacent to the Lutsen Mountains Ski Hill.
