Your Energy Audit
I have been performing energy audits independently and through the Cook County Local Energy Project since 2016. As a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified Building Analyst – Technician (BPI-5056017), I follow the BPI Standards of Practice. I am also trained and certified through the Snell Group as a Level 1 Infrared Thermographer. Your Energy Audit will include energy modeling, blower door test, infrared imaging, home energy use analysis, combustion appliance testing, home safety inspection, recommended improvements, priorities, and preliminary cost estimates. I provide you with resources for tax credits, rebates, and follow up assistance. Tax credits and rebates can be stacked from many sources, resulting in very significant savings. This is a time limited opportunity to receive substantial assistance to increase the energy efficiency of your home and reduce your energy bills.
The Building Performance Institute and their Standards of Practice, which I follow, meet the criteria referenced in DOE Section 25-C and IRS Notice 2023-59 for application for tax credits and rebates through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), state assistance, and utility credits. The reporting software I use is capable of generating utility bill calibration that is BPI-2400 compliant. You will be able to utilize my report for the Home Owner Management Energy Savings (HOMES) rebate program within the IRA. For one, your energy audit has a $150 rebate available to you through the IRA.
Energy audit cost is $650 plus mileage. Contact me for more information.
